The Commission have released a FAQ page outlining the general aims and shape of the new Creative Europe programme.

The questions cover eligibility and changes to the existing support system, explaining the decision to integrate the existing MEDIA and Culture programmes into a single programme to maximise efficiency as well as to encourage cross-sectoral experimentation and learning.

It also clarified challenges addressed by Creative Europe; the new programme seeks to help the cultural and creative sectors work together across borders, to access new audiences and markets, and to increase access to non-national works across Europe.

The FAQs additionally discuss the introduction of the Financial Guarantee Facility (available from 2016) that will make it easier for small operators to access bank loans.
