The BelBoBru project was an ‘urban parade laboratory’ with an international dimension. Three different organisations from Belfast, Bologna and Brussels collaborated and the BelBoBru project allowed artists to travel and to share skills particularly in the areas of carnival drumming and carnival arts. Puppet-making was a central theme of the project and Zinneke, a Belgian festival parade arts organisation, was the lead partner in teaching and sharing the skills Zinneke have developed in this area since the first Zinneke parade in Brussels in 2000. Belfast had a sneak peak at some of the puppets that have resulted at Culture Night in September 2009.
