LaBo21 (the laboratory of the 21st century) is an international partnership created to foster individual development combined with extensive exchanges between four artist-led interdisciplinary research projects on creative methodologies.

LaBo21 is structured so each partner hosts four internal labs designed to support their ongoing individual research, and one salon meeting in which all partners come together to share research. The fourth and final salon will overlap with a closing public Colloquium.

The International Choreographic Arts Centre (ICK) in Amsterdam is a platform for contemporary dance directed by Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten. Inside the LaBo21 project Emio Greco|PC will continue their interdisciplinary research into Pre-Choreographic Elements and the development of a multi-media glossary and an interactive improvisation system.

BADco. is a collaborative performance collective based in Zagreb, Croatia. Inside the LaBo21 project BADco. will research the creation of technological environments within which the performances happen and the development of tools for analysis and development of choreographic material.

Troubleyn/Jan Fabre is a theatre company with extensive international operations, with its home base in Antwerp, Belgium. Inside the LaBo21 project Fabre will continue his interdisciplinary research on the Performer of the 21st century and the method of Physiological acting that is pivotal to his work.

Centre for Dance Research (C-DaRE), School of Art & Design, Coventry University joins the project to work closely with the research project of WM|RD developing new modes of public engagement with choreographic creativity.
